Heat wave

As the hot weather continues I find myself web surfing like crazy. I'm finding all these amazing artists which is fuelling my creative juice just in time for back to school.
Christ Dorosz's paint drop sculptures left me speechless. These pictures speak for themselves. Really.

Proud moment

I'm so happy that I must post this. I know it's nothing major but it still makes my day knowing that one of our pieces was on the main page of Etsy! :)

Let the sun shine on you

I don't think I've ever appreciated my air conditioner as much I do now. With the extreme humidity, there's nothing like chillaxing at home.
Anyhoo, I discovered a photographer who I'm absolutely stoked about: Grégoire Alexandre. His photographs are just fabulous. You can see more of his amazing works at http://www.gregoirealexandre.com/

Technical difficulties...

I'm really frustrated that I haven't been able to upload the lookbook... STILL. It's been forever since I've made that promise. It's not that I'm not prompt, I'm just technologically challenged. Sigh. I'll figure something out. Meanwhile, I'll leave you with this. It's one of the images from the lookbook.

The aftermath...

I feel terrible for neglecting to update for almost a week now. I know I have to be more diligent for updating blogs but with the Esty store opening and sewing all day I really didn't have the time to edit and upload the photos. I probably make it sound like I sew 24hrs a day but with the school starting in few weeks, I really need to make as many pieces as possible while I have the time AND the energy. But it's been so tempting lately to just drop everything and chill at a cafe nearby with the weather being so warm and nice (for once).
I was working on a sweater yesterday and I realized that slowly but surely fall/winter is approaching. Although I love shopping for boots and coats, it makes me a little sad that I live in a country where winter lasts 6 months.

I love our products with the labels sewn on. They look very complete.

One step at a time

Although SUKRIS is a small online store, there were a few mishaps and dramas during the whole preparation process. I think we're definitely going through mixes of emotions. We're excited yet scared and hopeful yet doubtful. I feel like I'm about to dive into a pool that is infinitely deep. We're literally counting down the remaining days and the anticipation is in the air. One thing's for sure: no turning back now.

Don't you sometimes wish that life was as sweet as these?

Etsy store opening next Tuesday

I tried to upload the lookbook today but after three unsuccessful attempts, I'm just going to call it a day with this pic.

Easy breezy

I'm so behind in my schedule right now. From my to-do list I've only completed two things. However, I will be posting our lookbook soon so make sure to check it out!
Anyway on a different note, Kris and I found this amazing French patisserie near our place yesterday. It's a quaint little shop called La Bamboche. I totally regretted not bringing my camera because the display of their pastel macaroons was delightful. I got to try the macaroons in strawberry, chocolate, pistachio, and Japanese yogurt flavour. They tasted amazing! I managed to get a picture of this pistachio macaroon because we bought some more on the way home.

Nuit Blanche

I love installation art so I make sure to check out events like Nuit Blanche. Doesn't hurt that it's free lol.
This was my favourite piece from last year's event - Into the Blue by Fujiwara Takashiro. He was actually standing right by the installation and I remember the smile on his face as people were intrigued by the massive blue balloon.
